How do I calibrate VA05 tags?

Calibration aligns the VA05 UWB anchor and staff tag with the paired VS125 or VS125-LW so staff identification and positioning remain accurate.

Before you start:

• Confirm the VS125 or VS125-LW meets the required hardware and firmware version.
• Securely install the VA05 anchor near the VS device.
• Set the VS device Working Mode to Standalone.
• Ensure the staff tag is charged and powered on.
• Make sure at least half of the live-view area is accessible for calibration.

Calibration steps:

1. Open the VS device web interface and go to Rule.
2. Enable Staff Detection and select UWB KIT.
3. Click Calibrate to begin the anchor calibration process.
4. Place one powered tag in a front-facing pocket with the button side facing away from the body and toward the anchor. Power off or remove other tags from the calibration area.
5. Move to the system-recommended calibration area and complete the first calibration point. Repeat until all four calibration points are completed.
6. After the four points are complete, face the anchor and walk around the detection area while wearing the tag to verify the result.
7. If the tag appears green for most of the verification walk, confirm the calibration. If it appears red for most of the walk, check tag orientation and obstructions and repeat the calibration.

Calibration should be performed before initial use and repeated whenever the anchor or VS device position is changed.
