I originally started with the little “all in one” door sensors as they are very inexpensive. I always ended up having them give me problems… like they didn’t catch a door close/open and took FOREVER to re-chirp a new reading.
THESE SENSORS are a game changer. If you can afford a little extra money, these sensors are FAST, don’t miss any open/closes, have a long wire for multiple applications, and use NFC to manage. The plastic package looks great and these are easy to install. I’ve been extremely happy w them. I use them on AirBnB to watch door open/closes, monitor for “left open” doors, and also can see when people arrive or if they haven’t been at the house for awhile – big game changer in dealing with customers in a non-obtrusive way.
When installing these – pre-drill all the holes *AND* use only a manual screwdriver or you’ll strip the screws heads every time..

Great 2 in 1 sensor! This is great hardware for walk-in refrigeration and freezer units. The easy of setting up and configuring sensor via NFC makes install and provisioning a breeze!
