WT201 Smart LoRaWAN Thermostat
WT201 is a Milesight LoRaWAN thermostat used as a HVAC controller supporting a wide range of different heating and cooling systems, including heat pumps, AC, boilers, furnaces, AHU, and PTAC devices. WT201 smart thermostat provides multiple modes including heat/cool, emergent heat, auto, and fan mode, enabling precise temperature adjustments in buildings. It allows for automatic control through scheduled programming and remote management via cloud system. Real-time monitoring ensures timely alerts for sudden temperature changes, prioritizing people’s safety and protecting assets. Additionally, it has the capability to store up to 1000 pieces of data, providing ample data security.

This thermostat is a very good thermostat. I manage my own AirBnb, all in a small geographic area. Because of the close proximity, I’m able to use a single gateway which is managed and battery backed. This eliminates a major weak link in my “now replaced” WiFi Honeywell thermostat. No more reliance on the in-house router/gateway. This is PLUS item #1.
Because I monitor/manage my AirBnb with Lorawan (Dragino gateway/TTN Open source/Tago.io data management) I have dashboards and alerts created in Tago.io. Now I have all the monitoring, including the AC system in my Tago dashboards. PLUS item #2.
We had customers set the Honeywell to CRAZY temperatures during very hot days, stressing our AC unnecessarily. We could not detect the button changes but instead had to monitor the overall temperatures to be out of bounds. Now we can put a TRIGGER on the thermostat SETPOINT and if it is out of bounds, we can remotely set it to a better value. PLUS item #3.
The directions on the thermostat are very good and it has many options based on how many wires and the types of AC system you have. PLUS item #4.
The thermostat actually lets you control the “hysteresis” on the temperature as well as set the freeze-up protection. Very clever and I love having that control. PLUS item #5.
Milesight turned up the power on the NFC controls so you don’t have to take your phone out of your Otterbox to setup. THANK YOU. PLUS item #6.
Milesight provides a large decorative faceplate which is PERFECTLY sized to cover the WIDE footprint of the “now replaced” Honeywell WiFi Thermostat. PLUS item #7.
Now that I have a thermostat on Lorawan system, I can have good records on temperature *AND* I can correlate with power monitoring (Dragino CS01). This was something the Honeywell could NEVER provide me. PLUS item #8.
So far, very happy with this nice looking and very capable thermostat. Unless something changes or surprises me, I”ll convert my personal residence as well to this thermostat.
