A PT100 probe contains a resistor made of platinum wire that changes resistance as the temperature changes. The resistance increases linearly with temperature, following the Callendar-Van Dusen equation.
The PT100-PN03-150 is a Magnetic Contact Switch Sensor.
The name Pt100 comes from the platinum wire used in the sensor and the fact that the sensor’s resistance is 100 ohms at 0°C.
